Game Day! Irving MacArthur

Game Day #1

Pep Rally Report time: 8:00am (Tardies will be counted)
Girls wear Varsity (hair half up and half down with bow)
Boys wear Gray "P," camp t-shirt, maroon pocketed mesh shorts, white sneaks
Everyone helps prepare for the pep rally including the mats!
Girls bring your megaphones


Game departure information:
Girls wear Varsity (hair back in pony tail with bow, no exceptions)
Boys wear Maroon "P" (no jewelry, clean shaven!)

Report time is 4:30 (tardies will be counted
and lunch detentions assigned),
we will leave promptly at 5:00 for Irving Schools Stadium.

Cheer captains (Catherine will assign duties on Thursday) it is your responsibility to make sure everything we need is
out of the cheer closet and placed in the hallway for
White Guard to load on to the bus including:
1. painted/printed signs
2. tape
3. poms
4. PLANO cheer signs
5. MacArthur gift bag

White Guard captains (Tommy will assign duties on Thursday) it is your responsibility to make sure the following happens:
1. Flags loaded
2. Flag poles loaded
3. White Guard Megaphones
4. Ice chest loaded
5. Halftime Snacks loaded
6. The bus is loaded with everything we need - Jordy takes inventory at 4:55

Tommy and Catherine take roll and report to Shaw/Stuber.

Once we arrive at the Stadium, EVERYONE helps unload the bus!

Team responsibilities:
1. Be on time
2. When a captain assigns you a task, do it without question
3. Have your cheer bag loaded and ready on Thursday night
(Boys, have an extra pair of "no show" white socks,
a small towel to wipe off sweat, band aids,)
Girls have everything you might need for the game including personal items
4. No one will be allowed to leave the field prior to the game until all signs are taped and game ready
5. Girls, under no circumstances are you to go to the restroom alone. You must be escorted by a White Guard! Your safety comes first, no exceptions will be made! Only one girl and one boy may be away from the sidelines once the game starts.
7. No GUM!!!

I will Twitter the time we leave Irving and arrive at PSHS for parents who do not get to attend the game. Once we arrive back at PSHS everyone helps unload the bus! People who leave without permission will receive lunch detentions via their sub-school.

Practice calendar for 8/24 - 8/27

Monday 8/24: Practice begins at 3:35 in the gym. For those of you that do not have a 6th period, please get to the gym early to get the mats out!

Tuesday 8/25: Practice begins at 3:35 in the gym. White Guard get the flags out so we can practice the run out with the Maroon Guard.

Wednesday 8/26: Practice begins at 3:35 in the gym.

Thursday 8/27: Practice begins at 3:35 in the gym.
We will practice touchdown tumbling sequence and away game
run-outs. JV has their first game.

***Practice your shoulder stands every chance you get, they have to go up quickly!!!

Events for the week of 8/17

Monday (8/17): Practice at 3:00
Remember your coaches are in meetings so we might be late,
Catherine and Tommy are in charge until we arrive.
If you have any problems see Coach McCullough.
***Varsity Captains report to Prestonwood Baptist Church at 9:30 with poms

Tuesday (8/18): Varsity and White Guard only!
Meet at Preston Baptist Church at 6:30am!
Girls wear Varsity! Hair half up and half down
with your bow.
Boys wear Maroon P, khaki shorts, brown belt,
and white sneaks.
No Practice Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday (8/19): Practice at 3:30 (due to Teacher In-Service)
We will practice until we are ready for Cat Camp!
White Guard, the skit has to be perfect.

Thursday (8/20): Report for Cat Camp at 3:00!
I'll hand the t-shirts out Monday at practice.
Girls check with Stuber for clothing details
Boys wear Cat Camp T-Shirt with white camp shorts
and white sneaks.
You should be done by 5:15!

Friday (8/21): No Practice! It's tax free weekend -
shop til you drop or run out of $!
